Commonwealth Business Solutions Principals
Bette Wildermuth
For the past 25 years, Bette has been helping buyers and sellers of small and medium–size businesses in Richmond through the trials and tribulations of the transfer of business ownership. She was the owner of Commonwealth Business Brokerage and specialized in the sale of manufacturing, distribution, and all types of service businesses.

For many of her clients she also served as a business consultant, with a special emphasis on increasing the value of their businesses before they were sold. Prior to coming to Richmond, Bette owned several successful small businesses in the Washington, D. C. area. She was also a management/marketing consultant for the Shopping Center Division of the B. F. Saul REIT and was responsible for 31 shopping centers throughout the country.

Bette’s years of experience have given her a unique insight into identifying problems and finding cost-effective solutions to help insure that business owners can maximize the value of their businesses.
Harry Garmon
In 1979, following corporate jobs with Reynolds Metals and Baker Engineering in the data processing field, Harry started his first business. The company was a software development firm that grew to $3 million in revenues. His company was sold in 1991, and following the transition of the firm to the new owners, Harry started PayTime in late 1993. PayTime, a payroll service for small and medium sized businesses, grew to become Richmond’s largest, locally owned payroll service. This company was sold to a local individual in late 2005, and Harry is completing his transition contract.

As an experienced, successful entrepreneur who started several companies, grew them and successfully sold them, Harry brings to the table the “hands-on” experience that can provide small business owners with the mentoring they may be seeking in both organization and marketing.
E. Wayne Bullis
Certified as both a retirement financial advisor and a senior advisor, Wayne has spent more than 20 years helping owners of small and medium-size businesses determine exit (succession) strategies, create buy-sell agreements, and design and implement plans to attract and maintain key employees. He has also assisted these business owners to select and install appropriate and cost-effective retirement plans for their companies. Wayne is licensed for insurance, investments and financial planning, and currently owns a financial services company that specializes in retirement, estate and senior care planning.

On the daily firing line himself, Wayne understands the decisions that busy business owners face. Wayne's client-centered business philosophy is reflected in a problem-solving approach. He identifies critical financial problems facing business owners, and creates cost-effective and tax-efficient solutions that maximize the value of his clients’ assets.
