What do we look for when selecting professional partners?
At Commonwealth Business Solutions, we look for opportunities to connect our business owner/clients with other ethical business professionals who specialize in providing solutions for the specific problems we uncover during our Valuation and Analysis.

These professionals might include accountants, lawyers, marketing gurus, inventory control specialists, HR consultants, website designers and others.

It is important to find professionals who are used to dealing with small businesses and can offer affordable services to get these owners back on track.

What can we offer to our professional partners?
  • New client referral. Contact us for more information.
  • A "Value Added" Business Valuation for your existing clients. Most business valuations which are made available to small business owners provide just a number valuation and no recommendations. CBS, on the other hand, will provide your clients with an accurate and realistic market Valuation of their business, and also will provide a comprehensive analysis of their business. This analysis will identify potential problems that could seriously impact the value of the business.

    We will also make recommendations for cost-effective changes that can be made within a reasonable period of time (6 to 24 months) to correct those problem areas. In some cases, you may be asked to provide your professional assistance in your area of expertise to solve a problem. Your fee structure is between you and your client.

    Our Valuation fees are very reasonable (from $2,500 to $7,500 depending on the size and complexity of the business). If it turns out that your client has a need to sell his/her company within 6 months of having the valuation and report prepared, we will deduct this fee from our final fee as an intermediary in the sale.

    While many of the recommendations and changes we make in our analysis can be handled by the owner and his/her employees, if your client would like to have CBS assist in any way, our hourly fee is an affordable $95.
  • CBS has contacts with lenders who are anxious to work with us and our small business clients who may need funding for any of the following:
    1. business expansion
    2. business acquisition
    3. partnership/shareholder/key employee buyout
    4. family succession planning

    The terms these lenders are offering are very attractive, and we can assist your clients in preparing the documentation needed for the lender.
  • Should you have a client who feels it's time to retire or sell for another reason, we would be happy to assist in the marketing and sale of the business.

    One of our principals has more than 20 years experience in this area. We do require an up-front fee to offset our administrative costs, but the overall fee is considerably less than the fees charged by most business brokers, resulting in substantial savings for your client.
